When a vehicle is towed and stored by Amador County Sheriff’s Office Personnel, you will be required to obtain a release from the Amador County Sheriff’s Office prior to getting your vehicle out of storage. If your vehicle was towed due to not having a valid driver’s license, it will be necessary for you to bring two drivers with you who have valid driver’s licenses in their possession. If your vehicle did not have valid registration or insurance at the time that it was towed and stored, you will also need to provide valid registration and insurance documents before a release will be issued to you.
