AMADOR COUNTY JAIL

MEDICAL AND DENTAL CARE
Inmates are provided with appropriate and necessary medical and dental care. The Jail is staffed with a Nurse and Physician to provide this care. In the case of an emergency inmates are taken to the Sutter Amador Hospital.
Inmates may be seen by their own physician; at their own expense, plus the cost of transportation. In these cases the costs for transportation will be pre-paid; the cost for medical treatment will be by agreement between the inmate and outside facility physician or treatment facility.
It is the policy of the Amador County Jail to provide support for lactating mothers, within the limitations of the jail environment, who are booked into our facility.
