Honor Guard
The Amador County Sheriff’s Office Honor Guard is a volunteer assignment comprised of six sworn Deputies. The Honor Guard’s primary responsibility is to honor law enforcement officers by attending peace officer funerals. Participation in the Honor Guard is a collateral duty assignment, staffed with personnel from the Investigations Bureau and Patrol Bureau.
Other duties include representing the Sheriff’s Office at public events, attending memorial services and fulfilling special requests from other law enforcement agencies throughout California. The Honor Guard reflects the highest traditions of law enforcement; professionalism, integrity, dignity and respect at the following events:
